Coats of varying lengths were exhibited at New York Fashion Week but what was common among all was the hint of fur along the nape. Men can find similar creations by Fendi, Versace, etc. in our jackets section. At the Calvin Klein show, jackets were worn over matching shirts and trousers, a trend that is sure to be a rage.
Indigo – Shade for the season
Right from Milan to Paris, the designers taking part in the fashion weeks used indigo blue in a variety of men’s garments such as blazers, tees and shirts. It is an unconventional shade which is slightly bright yet classy. For example, guys can wear indigo blue polo t-shirts beneath a jacket. Check out the range offered by Balmain, Valentino etc.
Rock a Big Scarf
We are not talking about square or oblong scarves. This year New York and Paris Fashion Week were all about donning big scarves, reaching the waist. They were also quite prominent at the Burberry Prorsum Winter 2014 show. Your ensemble will instantly turn trendy once you drape a Gucci, Armani or Galliano scarf over it. Opt for plain colors or two-tone hues.
Slim pants make a comeback
Loved the slacks worn by The Beatles band in 1960s? Well, they are back with a bang. Slim pants which are cropped near the ankle are going to be in vogue this chilly season. Dsquared, the Canadian label famous among the youth for its modern designs, offers cropped pants as well as jeans that have a flawless fit. Wear them with bulky layers comprising of jackets and shirts/tees.
Fedora hats and big bags
If you want to invest in an accessory for winter, choose a fedora hat. It had a strong presence at Milan Fashion Week, along with boxy bags ideal to carry to work. Oversized bags are not meant only for women anymore. They were flaunted on the ramp by men this year. Fendi, Piquadro and Ferre are some designer options for these accessories.
